Ossipenki

Ossipenki ( Belarusian Осіпенкі ; Russian Осипенки ; German also Wospinzy ) is a small town in the Ljosna district , Wizebskaja Woblasz in Belarus .

Osipenki is located about 45 km southeast of Vitebsk at the confluence of the Luchessa and Chernitsa rivers, not far from the village of Babinawitschy on Lake Selenskoye.

Towards the end of the Second World War Osipenki was in the catchment area of ​​heavy fighting in the area of ​​the pocket near Vitebsk from January 2, 1944 to June 26, 1944.
