Ostfriesen cake

Ostfriesentorte is a cake specialty from the eponymous region in Lower Saxony .

The Ostfriesentorte consists of sponge cake , which is filled in layers with whipped cream and raisins in brandy . The Bedekasplerin Tini Peters developed the Ostfriesen cake from the frieze cake . In 1982 she offered the baked goods for the first time in her Café Sömmerköken .
