East Prussian Provincial Museum

The East Prussian Provincial Museum was housed in the west, east and south wings of the Königsberg Palace . It housed the collections of the province of East Prussia and the city of Königsberg i. Pr. .

The Provincial Museum, like the Prussia Museum, was initially owned by the Prussia Ancient Society . In 1925 it was taken over by the Provincial Administration of East Prussia with the aim of presenting the cultural history of the province. Attached to the museum was the city's art collection, supplemented by the picture gallery of the Königsberger Kunstverein (founded in 1831) and the arts and crafts museum of the art and trade school and the Königsberg art academy .
