Children's hospital in eastern Switzerland
The Children's Hospital in Eastern Switzerland is a regional center for paediatrics and pediatric surgery in St. Gallen , Switzerland. The sponsors of the hospital include the eastern Swiss cantons of St. Gallen, Thurgau, Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Appenzell Innerrhoden and the Principality of Liechtenstein .
On May 18, 1909, the infant hospital opened on the initiative of the doctor Frida Imboden-Kaiser. The children's hospital in Eastern Switzerland later emerged from it.
In 1966 the children's hospital was converted into a non-profit foundation based in St. Gallen.
