Anna F. Kohlschütter

Anna F. Kohlschütter (* 1983 in Berlin ) is a German director and screenwriter .

Life

Anna F. Kohlschütter made her own short films while she was still at school and took part in film festivals with them. In addition to high school, she completed part-time training as a media and theater pedagogue. After graduating from high school in 2004, internships in film and television followed (including at Novafilm television production). From 2005 to 2008 she trained as a media designer for image and sound at ProSiebenSat1 Media AG in Berlin and then worked as a camerawoman and editor there and at N24. In 2009 she began studying media and cultural studies at Heinrich-Heine University in Düsseldorf, then moved to the International Film School (IFS) in Cologne . There she completed her Bachelor of Arts in film directing in 2014. Her graduation film Rebecca (2014) won the prize for the best medium-length film at the Achtung Berlin - new berlin film award. Her web series Stage Fright ran in a special program at the Max Ophüls Preis film festival in 2018 and can be seen at the Webfest in Vancouver in April 2018. Anna F. Kohlschütter works as a freelance director and author in Berlin.
