Oststrasse 21 and 23 (Heilbronn)
The semi-detached house at Oststrasse 21 and 23 in Heilbronn is a listed building in Heilbronn.
history
The house was built for the reindeer Heinrich Hoffmann according to plans by the architects Stuber and Beckmann from Heilbronn in 1908. It originally contained three-room apartments without a bathroom that were rented to workers.
In 1950 half of the house No. 21 belonged to the master coppersmith Julius Plenefisch, No. 23 to the heirs of Heinrich Hoffmann. In 1961, No. 23 passed into the possession of the widow Emilie Sander.
description
The residential building has a facade that, according to the monument topography, shows the “detachment from historicism typical of the time”. This is particularly noticeable on the upper floors, where the vertical is emphasized by pilasters with Art Nouveau capitals . The twin windows also show forms of the “geometrizing Art Nouveau”. The console cornice of the roof house has echoes of neoclassicism .
