Oswald Probst

Oswald Probst (born July 9, 1935 , † July 15, 2015 in Seitzersdorf-Wolfpassing ) was an Austrian archer .

Already active in Austria before the founding of a national association, Probst had won the first international tournament in Goisern in 1963 and was a member of the Austrian national team for many years. In 1964 he won the first Austrian championships, which he was able to repeat in 1966 - in addition, he won the team title with the BC-Union Vienna . Probst was nominated for Austria’s second participation in the World Cup as well as for the 1968 European Championship, which took place in Reutte . In 1973 he also took part in the World Cup.

Probst also took part in the 1976 Olympic Games in Montréal as the oldest athletic representative of Austria and finished the competition in 41st place in the lower ranks.
