Othmar Meißl
Othmar Meißl (born October 15, 1917 in Hartberg ; † May 4, 2008 in Feldbach ) was an Austrian politician ( FPÖ ) and businessman. From 1964 to 1979 he was a member of the National Council .
biography
After compulsory schooling, Meißl attended a commercial vocational school and from 1947 worked as a businessman in Feldbach , running a leather specialist shop on Torplatz. He was elected to Feldbach's municipal council in 1960, to which he was a member until 1975. Meißl held the position of leader of the FPÖ parliamentary group between 1960 and 1975 and served as the second vice mayor between 1970 and 1975. In addition, he represented the FPÖ between April 27, 1964 and June 4, 1979 in the National Council, in the 1980s he was again a member of the Feldbach municipal council.
