Otter (brand)

Otter shoes is a trade mark for shoes that was introduced shortly after the turn of the century by the shoe manufacturer Ernst Otterbeck (1860–1925) from Mülheim an der Ruhr . In the late 1920s, the brand became synonymous with solid quality in accident prevention shoes. The brand was later expanded to include other footwear items, but since 1993 it has mainly been used again for work shoes. The company Otter Schutz GmbH belonged 2002-2012 to the group King's SafetyWear Ltd. , headquartered in Singapore . Today the company belongs to the Honeywell group .
