Otto Fink (politician, 1920)

Otto Fink (born February 4, 1920 in Fischbäckern , Krummau district , † March 29, 2000 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

Fink attended elementary school in Kirchschlag and then worked in agriculture until 1939. In the Second World War he initially took part as a soldier in the anti-aircraft cartillery. Most recently he was a non-commissioned officer in the paratrooper troops. In 1944 he became an American prisoner of war. After returning from captivity in the USA in 1946, Fink initially worked as a laborer in Freyung . Then worked in the Ruhr mining industry. In 1948 he returned to Freyung and worked there as a factory worker at the Hammermühle paper and cardboard factory. He later worked as a chief insurance inspector.

politics

Fink was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament for the SPD from 1954 to 1962 . From 1972 to 1978 he was mayor of Freyung .
