Outsiders Joy is a German punk rock band from Cologne .

history

In 1995 Party and Ribble formed the Schlimm brothers, a band in which Ribble played drums and Party acted as singer and guitarist. The first self-written song Rafunzel was recorded in pairs, before Örny joined the bass a few months later. From then on the band called itself Crawlvirus . At the beginning of 1996 Christoph joined the team as a further guitarist and the band name was changed to Outsiders Joy for the last time.

In the first four years after the band was founded in 1995, a wide variety of constellations with singer, singer and second guitar were tried out, before an agreement was reached in 1999 on guitar, bass, drums and triple vocals and since then it has functioned as a trio. The last line-up change took place in 2005, since then "Falte" has been on the drums.

After a few demo recordings , the first studio album Grosse gray men was recorded and distributed independently and without a label in 1999 . With NC-Music and later Nix Gut Records there were two labels that included the CD in their mailorder lists. In addition to the debut album, four more songs have since been released on the samplers Chaos, Bier and Anarchie 3 + 4 and Deutschpunk Gewitter 3 .

The 2008 album Sonnenbankgebräunter Anabolikamutant was released on Hulk Räckorz . In March 2010, the sixth part of the cover sampler Punk Chartbusters appeared , on which Outsiders Joy are represented with the Fools Garden hit Lemon Tree .

Just in time for the band's 15th anniversary, the album Yes we can was presented in a concert on October 15, 2010 in the SJZ Siegburg . The album was released on Hulk Räckorz on CD and as a strictly limited LP.

In the summer of 2011, a single Forever FC was released as digital-only on Hulk Räckorz, which contains two songs that are dedicated to the soccer club 1. FC Cologne .

In July 2012, Falte announced his withdrawal for personal reasons, but still played the concerts that had already been booked and then left the band for good in autumn 2012.

After an inactive year 2013, Fratz joined them as the new drummer in February 2014; as owner of the label Hulk Räckorz a well-known and old companion of the band. With him they prepared intensively for the band's 20th anniversary, which was celebrated on December 19, 2015 as one of the last concerts in the new SJZ Siegburg. The band also produced a new album entitled Razor , which was released on April 1, 2016 as LP including CD and download code on Hulk Räckorz.

Outsiders Joy was a support band on the 2016 tour of the punk rock band Slime .
