Ovinius Camillus
Ovinius Camillus was reportedly a Roman usurper under Severus Alexander . He is considered fictional.
According to the (often unreliable) Historia Augusta , Ovinius Camillus was an elderly senator who rose up against Severus Alexander and his mother Julia Mamaea . The plot was uncovered, but the usurper was allegedly spared by the emperor - whom the author of the Historia Augusta portrays extremely positively - and even made co-regent for a short time.
