Owen Columba Coyle (born July 14, 1966 in Paisley , Scotland ) is a former Scottish - Irish football player and current football coach .

He played in his professional career for several clubs, e.g. B. for Bolton Wanderers , Motherwell FC and Dundee United . In total, he completed 669 games and 249 goals in various leagues. For the 2013/14 season he became a coach at Wigan Athletic , where he was fired on December 2, 2013.

On December 8, 2014, he signed a three-year contract with Houston Dynamo .
