Oxford fabric

Oxford is a strong cotton fabric in a Panama weave with a slightly shimmering look. It was named after the English city of Oxford .

There is also the sub-variant “Pinpoint”, a mixture of plain and Panama weave with finer threads. The “Royal Oxford” is woven with other, more complicated weave constructions (weaves) and finer threads are used than with the classic Oxford.

As Oxford nylon is referred tissue from polyamide fibers , which are produced by a special process and are therefore more durable than normal nylon .
