Oyggjatíðindi

Oyggjatíðindi [ ˈɔt͡ʃːaˌtʊiːjɪndɪ ] ( Eng . "Island News") is a Faroese weekly newspaper based in Tórshavn . The tabloid- style newspaper was founded by Faroese politician Lasse Klein ( Sjálvstýrisflokkurin ) and first appeared on Friday, November 25, 1977. Dan Klein has been in charge of the paper since 1982. In 2009 the printed weekly newspaper still had a circulation of 3,500 copies. In September 2011, however, the editor-in-chief Dan Klein decided that in future Oyggjatíðindi should no longer appear as a printed weekly newspaper, but only digitally on the Internet.
