Ozark Medieval Fortress

Ozark Medieval Fortress was a project to faithfully build a 13th century castle in Lead Hill , Arkansas in the Ozarks . Construction materials and construction techniques corresponded to the historical status. Construction started in 2009, completion should take about 20 years. It was a subsidiary project of Guédelon in France, which is also under the direction of Michel Guyot .

From May 2010 the building project could be viewed, the construction workers appeared in medieval costumes.

In January 2012 the project was discontinued for financial reasons, the plant closed and a buyer or investor was looked for.
