The Pfalzberger Feldbahn (PFb) is a private, not publicly accessible light rail system with a gauge of 600 mm in Tobelbad near Graz.

History and construction

In 2015, the first 400 m of rails (i.e. 200 m of finished track) in the S10 profile were purchased from the former Pottenbrunn brickworks (Lower Austria) and brought to the Pfalzberger Feldbahn together with two field railway trucks (built around 1930–1940). With this purchase the foundation stone for the field railway was laid. The routing began in August 2015 , after further construction work such as the creation of a locomotive shed and two steel bridges, the construction work on the superstructure was completed in September 2016.

In the same year, a historic Gmeinder brand diesel locomotive was purchased from private ownership and transferred to Stainz for inspection. The revision was completed on June 8, 2016 and the locomotive was transferred to the PFb. Since January 2017, the facility has been expanded to include a wagon shed and two sidings . Due to the construction work, the facility is currently not yet open to the public.
