The Ty51 of the Polish State Railways Polskie Koleje Państwowe (PKP) is a steam locomotive for heavy freight traffic.

The locomotive, developed in 1951, is a replica of an American type that was in service as the Ty246 . 242 locomotives were manufactured in the Poznan Cegielski Works between 1953 and 1958 . When the last locomotive, the Ty51 232, was completed in 1958, steam locomotive construction for the Polish State Railways was discontinued. The locomotives were still in service until the 1990s.

Since the locomotive had a welded frame compared to its American model, the forces involved caused the frame to break.
