POEMA (Programa Po breza e M eio ambiente na A mazônia), the program poverty and environment in Amazonia , is a research and development program of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) in Belém , the capital of the Brazilian state Pará. POEMA Germany is the partner program for this.

The rainforest project Poema - Poverty and Environment in Amazonia was awarded the Stuttgart Peace Prize 2008, endowed with 5,000 EUR , according to the public project AnStifter .
