The PRO block of flats , also called PRO block or PRO castle , today called "Schleidenhof", is a listed building complex in the Hamburg district of Barmbek-Süd . The building, completed in 1907 in the style of a Hamburg castle by the consumer, building and savings association “Produktion” , burned down in 1943 and was rebuilt in 1949 and 1950.

The so-called "Hamburger Burg" was a type of construction that from 1900 onwards distinguished many cooperative construction companies in Hamburg. This cut, the eye-catching design of the façades and the tower-like roof extensions of the PRO apartment block ensured that the building between Schleidenstraße, Lohkoppelstraße, Brucknerstraße and Ortrudstraße was given the nickname “Schloss von Barmbek”.

During the Nazi regime , "Production" had to sell the building complex. The PRO block burned out as a result of a bomb hit during Operation Gomorrah , although the surrounding walls remained. The PRO apartment block was rebuilt in 1949 and 1950 under the auspices of the consumer cooperatives' pension fund - the previously conspicuous roof extensions were not restored.

The pension fund sold the building in the 1980s. The former rental apartments were subsequently converted into condominiums. The PRO apartment block has been registered as a cultural monument by the Department for Culture and Media with monument number 30901.
