Pablo Galdón (born November 28, 1985 in Gálvez ) is an Argentine tennis player .

Career

2004 was the first year for Galdón in which he played professional tournaments quite regularly. He played u. a. his first match on the second highest tournament level, the ATP Challenger Tour , and was in the top 1000 of the world rankings in singles and doubles . Until 2010, Galdón played almost exclusively matches on the ITF Future Tour . On this he won one title each in 2005, 2007 and 2009, and in 2008 he won three titles. In 2010 he achieved good results more often and reached six finals in futures, of which he won three. As a result, he was in the top 300 in the world rankings for the first time and thus in the point range from which he can also increasingly participate in Challengers. In Asunción and Cali he was able to move into a Challenger quarter-finals for the first time.

In 2011, the Argentine made his only appearance on the ATP World Tour . At his home tournament in Buenos Aires he started the qualification and after three wins he moved into the main field , where he failed at the first seeding list and later tournament winner Nicolás Almagro . By the middle of the year he played fewer challengers again and reached two finals in futures, of which he won one. In July he was at number 222 in the world rankings at his career high. In doubles he reached his highest place in August 2011 with 231 after a final at the Challenger in Bucaramanga . In addition to another final a year later in Bercuit , he won a total of six double futures titles. In individual he tried five more times to qualify at an ATP World event and two times at a Grand Slam tournament, but he did not succeed. In 2012 he was twice in a Challenger quarter-finals, so he ended the year in 329th place. In 2013 he won the last of his 14 futures titles and lost positions in the ranking. In 2014 he played his last matches.
