Pacideius Carpianus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pacideius Carpianus (his praenomen is not known) was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd century AD .

A military diploma dated February 8, 161, shows that Carpianus 161 was in command of the Cohors V Hispanorum , which at that time was stationed in the province of Moesia superior .

Carpianus probably came from Caiatia , today's Caiazzo . There was probably a family connection with Lucius Pacideius Carpianus , who is listed in two inscriptions.
