Lucius Aburnius Severus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lucius Aburnius Severus was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd century AD .

Two military diplomas, dated July 19, 146, among other things, prove that Severus was from 145 to 146 commander of the Ala I Hispanorum Aravacorum , which was stationed in the province of Pannonia superior at that time .

Severus came from Heraclea ad Salbacum in the province of Asia . There were two other Lucii Aburnii who also commanded auxiliary units during the reign of Trajan (98–117) .
