from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pad Thermosol is a coloring process . In the continuous process, cotton items are mostly dyed with reactive dyes .

The goods to be dyed run from the cheek directly into the dyeing trough via a guide roller . The dye and the alkali are already located there . The fleet is applied and then the padding squeezed. A special dosing system ensures that the liquor in the trough remains constant. The goods run through a short air passage into the IR dryer. The dye is briefly pre-dried there. Then thermosoling takes place. The pre-dried dye is fixed with heat. This is done with hot air. Then the dyed goods are washed and soaped. The remaining chemicals and unfixed dye particles are removed. Finally, the clean goods are dried and ready for the final finishing.

In the Pad Thermosol process, reactive and disperse dyes are mostly used.
