Paganello

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Paganello is an ultimate tournament held annually around Easter time on sand on the beach of Rimini in Italy.

First held in 1991, the Paganello (Paga for short) has developed into one of the largest and most attractive frisbee tournaments in the world. Teams from all over the world regularly make pilgrimages to the Italian Adriatic coast . In the fifteenth edition in 2004, over 1,500 players in 93 teams from 23 countries met each other. The name and the logo for this tournament were borrowed from one of the fish species found in the region, the Paganello.

Unofficially, Paganello is also known as the Beach Club World Championship in Ultimate Frisbee.
