Paikuse (German: Staelenhof ) is a former Estonian rural community in Pärnu County with an area of 177 km². Paikuse has been part of the municipality of Pärnu since 2017 .
The rural community had 3860 inhabitants (January 1, 2017). In addition to the main town Paikuse, it included the villages of Põlendmaa, Seljametsa, Silla, Tammuru and Vaskrääma.
The economy is based on processing wood, peat and metal. In addition, tourism increased. Interesting are moor hikes and canoe trips in the Soomaa National Park as well as the Baltic German manors.
Paikuse's partner municipalities are Mynämäe and Mietoiste in Finland and Łobez in Poland .
