Pak Mun Dam

The Pak Mun Dam is a structure built in 1994 and 1993 in the Amphoe of Ubon Ratchathani , Thailand. It dams the Mae Nam Mun and is 17 meters wide and 300 meters long. The Mekong is 5.5 kilometers to the east .

The building owner and operator is the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT). The dam is used to generate electrical energy. The hydropower plant produces 290 GWh annually with four generators, a total of up to 136 megawatts simultaneously. The cost was $ 24 million. Financing was provided by the World Bank .
