The Palais Palffy (often with the Palais Palffy confused in Panská ulica, Slovak Pálfiho palác ) is a palace in the Baroque style in Bratislava . It is located in the old town on Ventúrska Street.

history

The current building was erected in 1747 and was owned by the influential Pálffy family . It impresses with its interesting portal and the two Pawlatschen courtyards. The grand staircase was made of hard Kaiserstein from imperial quarry near Vienna built. In 1762 the then six-year-old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart gave a concert here.

The Austrian embassy was housed in the building until 2012 .
