Wertheim Palace

The Palais Wertheim is a Palais in Ringstraßenstil and is located at Schwarzenbergplatz 17 / Kärntnerring 18 in the first district of Vienna .

The palace, commissioned by the industrialist Franz Freiherr von Wertheim from Heinrich Freiherr von Ferstel , was built from 1864 to 1868 and converted into a residential and office building in 1910. On July 27, 1977, the first Austrian McDonald’s branch opened on the ground floor of the Palais .
