Palais des Sports de Ouaga 2000

The Palais des Sports de Ouaga 2000 is a sports hall in Ouagadougou , the capital of the West African state of Burkina Faso .

The sports palace is located in the Ouaga 2000 district to the south of the city center, east of the Boulevard de la Révolution and the Place de l'Afrique on a twelve-hectare site and has a capacity of 4598 spectators. The government of Burkina Faso contributed 2 billion CFA francs (3.05 million euros) and the Republic of China (Taiwan) with 2.7 billion CFA francs (4.12 million euros) to finance the construction . The construction companies involved were Fadoul Technibois, GENAF, VMAP, BEGEP and CICA Burkina.

In March 2009 the president of the African volleyball association CAVB visited the hall and assured his support for the organization of a continental tournament in the Palais des Sports.
