The Palandöken Dam ( Turkish Palandöken Barajı ) is a 35 km southwest of the provincial capital of Erzurum in the same province in eastern Turkey located Dam .
The Palandöken Dam is located 7 km northeast of the small town of Çat . It was built between 1994 and 2001 to irrigate an area of 12,038 ha and to supply drinking water . The barrier structure is a 44.45 m high earth-stone embankment dam with a clay core . The dam volume is 600,000 m³. The reservoir covers an area of 22 km² with normal damming. The storage space is 228 million m³. The reservoir, which lies on the southern flank of the eponymous mountain ridge Palandöken Dağı , is fed by the two streams Lezgi Deresi and Pisyan Deresi . The Tuzla Çayı forms the drain .
