It is located about 40 km southeast of Beirut near Dair al-Qamar .

description

In its construction, the palace is similar to the Azim Palace in Damascus. When you enter the palace, you first come to the large parade ground. This is surrounded by stables and storage rooms. The representative rooms that the Emir Bechir II and his successors used to rule and for audiences are also located here. Behind the public buildings is the harem , the emir's private area. Here are the chambers for women and a richly furnished oriental bath. All important rooms of the palace are decorated with painted wooden ceilings, mosaics and arcade arches.
