The PalaSharp (also known as Palatrussardi , PalaVobis , PalaTucker and Mazda Palace ) was a multi-purpose hall for sports events and concerts of national and international music greats in Milan , Italy . The hall held 10,045 visitors.

history

The arena replaced the two smaller event halls Sport Palace and Teatro Tenda di Lampugnano . The building was erected in 1985. On September 26, 1986, the multi-purpose hall was opened as Palatrussardi. The hall kept the name until 1996. The arena was named after the designer and entrepreneur Nicola Trussardi . From 1996 to 2002 the building was renamed PalaVobis. After the automobile manufacturer Trucker had secured the naming rights for the arena, it was renamed PalaTucker in the first half of 2002. From 2002 to 2007 the hall was known as Mazda Palace. From 2007 until the building was closed on April 30, 2011, the arena was called PalaSharp.
