The Palazzo Corsini is a palace in Rome .

The baroque building was rebuilt by the Corsini family between 1730 and 1740. Before that, there was a 15th century villa of the Riario family , designed by Ferdinando Fuga . The Swedish Queen Christina, who converted to Catholicism, lived there . This is where the first meetings of the Accademia dell'Arcadia took place. In 1736, Cardinal Neri Maria Corsini from Florence , a nephew of Pope Clement XII. , the palace and the gardens. The fresco La Storia ordina al Tempo di scoprire la Verità in the library is by Gregorio Guglielmi and was commissioned by Neri Corsini. During the Napoleonic occupation of Rome, the palace was home to Joseph Bonaparte . The palace currently houses the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei and the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica di Palazzo Corsini . The gardens are part of the Orto Botanica dell'Universita di Roma "La Sapienza" botanical garden .
