Palazzo Pesaro Papafava is a palace in Venice in the Veneto region of Italy . It is located in the Cannaregio sestiere with a view of the Canale della Misericordia opposite the Scuola Grande di Santa Maria della Misericordia .

history

The palace dates back to the 15th century. It belonged to the Pesaro family until Pesarina Pesaro's marriage to Bonifacio Papafava , which was celebrated in 1615.

description

It is a palace, the facade of which extends over four floors and looks noble due to the predominance of Gothic elements. The expressiveness of the front is concentrated in the central axis, which is formed by four-fold windows with small balconies arranged one above the other. Among them there are more valuable and simpler ones. Each of the quadruple windows is flanked by two pairs of single windows, one on each side. On the ground floor there is a pointed arch portal to the water and four single windows next to it. The left part, which shows arched openings , is from more recent times.
