Pallet rack

Pallet racks get their name from the load carriers to be stored, the pallets . These can appear as flat pallets, mesh box pallets or as special constructions. They are always an aid to grouping goods into transport-friendly cargo units. Pallet racks only emerged when pallets and forklifts were invented.

The two most important components of a pallet rack are the rack frames, screwed or welded as a framework, and the suspended longitudinal members. In order to be able to hang them in, the frame supports are provided with system punchings.

The components of pallet racks are made of steel. Depending on the number of pallets per compartment, a distinction is made between pallet racks for single or multi-user storage.

When planning and selecting products, stability is of particular importance. The manufacturer must guarantee the operator's safety by providing static proof.
