The Palić Lake ( Serbian - Cyrillic Палићко језеро , Croatian Palićko jezero , Hungarian: Palicsi-tó , German outdated: Palitsch Lake ) is an approximately 6 km² large natural lake in the far north of Serbia . It was named after the town of Palić , which is the largest and at the same time the only town on the shore of the lake. Lake Palić is a recreational area for the residents of the city of Subotica, which is only eight kilometers away . Its shore length is 17 km, the greatest depth 3.5 m. The lake is 101 m above sea level.
