medicine

root cause

Pallor is normal in people with fair skin type and without any disease value. Pallor can be a symptom of many medical conditions. The pale corpse appears after death, but is an uncertain sign of determining death.

Clinical manifestations

Pallor as a symptom of a disease shows on the skin and the mucous membranes and is only a sign of a disease if the skin and / or mucous membranes are lighter than in a normal, healthy state.

Investigation methods

To determine paleness, the skin color is assessed on visible skin areas. In particular on the hands , on the nail bed, on the lips or on mucous membranes such as the conjunctiva or the oral mucosa.

pathology

The change in normal skin color to paleness occurs due to reduced blood flow to the skin. The causes for this can be very diverse. Anemia and hypotension are two examples of conditions that can lead to pale skin.

Culture

Pallor was and is considered the ideal of beauty in many cultures and epochs .
