The Palmenhaus Gmünd stands in the southeast of Gmünd Castle in the municipality of Gmünd in the Gmünd district in Lower Austria . The palm house is a listed building ( list entry ).

history

The early historical hall was built in 1858 and restored in 1981.

architecture

The former palm house stands by the park wall on Schloßberggasse. The three-axis main front with originally glazed pillar arcades has a gable roof. The gable shows the coat of arms of Habsburg-Lothringen .

Inside the building has blind arcades. Partly a coffered flat ceiling has been preserved.
