The Pampa Energía SA (Sociedad Anónima) is one of the largest electric utilities in Argentina . The company was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Buenos Aires .

In the power generation segment, Pampa has an installed capacity of 3,871 MW and around 10% of the total power supply in Argentina. Another 558 MW are under construction or planned. In the electrical energy transmission segment, Pampa is the largest transmission network operator for high voltage in Argentina and maintains a network of around 10,155 kilometers in length. The low-voltage supply with around 6,108 km is handled by its subsidiary Transba.

Edenor, a company privatized by the Argentine government in 1992, also belongs to the pampa and supplies the northern greater Buenos Aires area with around 2,700,000 end customers. In 2012, Pampa employed around 5,000 people. According to the company, the total number of customers is 3.6 million end users.

The shares of Pampa Energia are traded on the Bolsa de Comercio de Buenos Aires in Argentina and since October 2009 also on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
