Pananehe Island is an island off the northern tip of New Zealand. Administratively, it is located in the Far North District of the Northland region on the North Island of New Zealand . The Waitapu Stream joins the coast 150 m east of the island.
The island is located in the Pacific about 400 m south of Cape Hooper Point at the east end of Spirits Bay .
