Pancreas bifidum

The pancreas bifidum ("split pancreas") is a rare malformation of the pancreas in which the main duct ( ductus pancreaticus ) in the area of ​​the tail of the pancreas is split open like a fish's tail. It is one of the fusion anomalies caused by the incomplete fusion of the two systems of the pancreas .
