Louis Pham Van Nâm

Louis Pham Van Nâm (born September 17, 1919 in Saigon ; † June 30, 2001 ) was Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Ho Chi Minh City .

Life

Louis Pham Van Nâm was ordained a priest on September 18, 1948 .

Paul VI appointed him on December 3, 1977 auxiliary bishop in Ho Chi Minh City and titular bishop of Acufida . The Archbishop of Ho Chi Minh City, Paul Nguyên Van Binh , consecrated him bishop on February 2 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Jacques Nguyên Ngoc Quang , Bishop of Cần Thơ , and Joseph Pham Van Thiên , Bishop of Phú Cường .

As a motto he chose Yêu thương không gi ( dối (1 Ga 3:18). On September 30, 1999, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
