The Panellinio Arma Politon ( Greek Πανελλήνιο Άρμα Πολιτών German: Panhellenic chariot of the citizens ) is a Greek social democratic party .
The party was founded in April 2011 by MPs Giannis Dimaras and Vasilis Ikonomou, who, as members of the then ruling party PASOK , had not voted for the austerity package , contrary to the party line , and were therefore excluded from the PASOK parliamentary group.
The goals of the party are:
- the national independence of Greece
- Popular sovereignty
- social justice
- People's solidarity
In October 2011, Vasilis Ikonomou founded his own political movement called Eleftheri Polites ( Free Citizens ).
