Panjiayu Massacre

The massacre Panjiayu ( Chinese  潘家峪惨案 , Pinyin Pānjiāyù cǎn'àn ) was one of the Japanese Imperial Army on 25 January 1941, the population of the village Panjiayu District Fengrun the city of Tangshan in the Chinese province of Hebei perpetrated massacres . 1,230 villagers were killed, including 658 women and children. The tragedy exemplified the policy of the triple annihilation of the Japanese armed forces in the Second Sino-Japanese War .

The site of the Panjiayu massacre ( Panjiayu can'an yizhi ) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-901) since 2006 .
