The Panopa Logistik GmbH is a logistics company based in Duisburg . It was founded in 1955 as a subsidiary of the Krupp Group and is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of the South African Imperial Logistics International .

history

In 1955, Panopa-Industrie-Spedition was founded as a subsidiary of what was then Fried. Krupp GmbH founded. In 1961 it was renamed Panopa Verkehrs-GmbH. In 1990 the Hohenlimburger Kleinbahn (HKB) was integrated into the Panopa Verkehrs-GmbH, and the Panopa Verkehrs-GmbH into the Nestrans Logistik. In 1994, Panopa Verkehrs-GmbH was renamed Panopa Logistik. Panopa Logistique France in France was founded in 1997, followed two years later by Panopa Logistik Polska and Panopa Polska in Poland and Ilssa & Panopa in Spain. Imperial Logistics International took over the Gillhuber Logistics Group in 2005 and Panopa's contract logistics activities in the automotive logistics sector were expanded. Imperial Logistics International took over the Hansmann Group in 2008 to expand the Panopa portfolio in the automotive logistics sector. In 2009, 51 percent of the Polish transport company Garex was taken over.

Panopa's offer includes: logistics services (including supply chain management , supplier coordination for incoming goods, JIT and JIS systems, warehouse management, internal transport and order picking / sequencing), global transport organization with all modes of transport, as well as advice, planning and fleet management. The focus is on contract logistics, especially in the areas of steel, automotive and spare parts logistics as well as global transport organization.
