Pantordanos (son of Cleandros)
Pantordanos ( Greek Παντόρδανος ), son of Kleandros, was a Macedonian equestrian general and companion ( hetairos ) of Alexander the Great in the 4th century BC.
Pantordanus led during the Asian campaign in the battle of Issus in 333 BC. Chr. As ilarchos the so-called Leugaic squadron of the Hetairenreiterei , which was probably recruited from the surrounding area of Pydna . Together with Peroidas he is the only squadron leader who is mentioned by name at Issos. Your two squadrons were regrouped from the left to the right wing shortly before the start of the battle.
Both Pantordanus and Periodas are no longer mentioned after Issus. Because in Gaugamela 331 BC BC all eight squadrons of the Hetairenreiterei were manned by other officers, it is assumed that both fell at Issus.
