Paolo Bianco (born August 20, 1977 in Foggia , Italy ) is an Italian football player who last played for US Sassuolo Calcio .

Player career

Paolo Bianco started his career as a footballer with US Foggia in his hometown. He already played as a youth player for the former first division club. In 1999, Bianco was promoted to the first team. After almost 100 games, Bianco left the amateur club in 1999 and signed a contract with the second division club FBC Treviso . He stayed there for five years before moving to the ambitious Catania Calcio .

With Catania Bianco rose in the 2005/06 season in Italy's highest league, but left the club to get a contract with league rivals Cagliari Calcio . In the summer of 2009 he signed with Atalanta Bergamo , in July 2010 the defensive player joined the second division US Sassuolo Calcio .

Bianco was briefly a member of the Italian U-21 selection , for which he completed his only international match on April 22, 1998 in the home game against Wales. Italy won the game 2-1.
