The Papyrus Oxyrhynchus XLII 3035 (also P. Oxy. XLII 3035 or P. Oxy. 3035 ) is a document with an arrest warrant for a Christian dated February 28, 256, which was issued by the Roman authorities. The papyrus is one of the Oxyrhynchus papyri , which were found by archaeologists in an ancient garbage dump near the historic site of Oxyrhynchos in Egypt towards the end of the 19th century . P. Oxy. XLII 3035 contains one of the oldest recorded uses of the word Christ on papyrus. The papyrus is dated to the 3rd Phamenoth in the 3rd year of the emperors Valerian and Gallienus and thus one of the few fragments dated exactly to the day.
