Par prezidentālu republiku ( PPR ; German  for a presidential republic ) is a political party founded in Latvia in 2010 . The chairman is Einars Grigors .

history

The founding congress took place on March 27, 2010 in the Small Guild in Riga . Most of the party members consisted of entrepreneurs.

Some former MPs ran for the party in the elections for the 10th Saeima . The election result of 0.74% of the vote was not enough to get into parliament (5% hurdle). Three local elections and the 2011 parliamentary elections , in which the party ran, were also unsuccessful.

The party advocates strengthening the power of the state president and his election by the people instead of parliament. The number of MPs is to be reduced.
